Exchange Fair

An Exchange Fair is a two-hour interactive meeting where you will have the opportunity to connect with others to share and discover the talents, skills and resources that exist among the community. The event is motivated by the wish to develop community and relies on the idea that all the resources we need in order to achieve our goals and have a good life are closer than we think and can be found and accessed by making the right connections with the people around us. This facilitated experience is designed to discover the unique value that each person brings.

There will be several rounds of group discussions to get to know each other, discuss needs and offers, and plan exchanges.

Why participate?

• Discuss your strengths and explore ways to fructify them
• Engage in exchanges of resources, services and time
• Spend two hours in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere
• Find solutions to practical problems through collaboration

Examples of needs: advice on starting a business, mentoring in a specific skill or career, resources such as books or equipment, help with language learning or translation, support in organizing community events, help with personal development such as speaking in public or leadership etc.

Examples of offers: expertise in areas such as technology, finance or education, skills such as cooking, gardening or various crafts, opportunities for internships or jobs, resources such as meeting spaces, tools or materials, personal talents such as music, art or storytelling, time and effort for projects that help the community etc.
